What Data We Collect
- Note content: The topics, text fragments, and voice transcriptions you record are stored locally on your phone and are not uploaded to our servers for long-term storage.
- Sent temporarily to AI services: When you use voice input, AI auto-classification, AI summaries, or AI Q&A, the corresponding text/voice content is sent to third-party AI providers in real time to generate results — we don't keep our own copy of this content.
- Basic usage analytics: The app records a small amount of anonymous usage activity (e.g. whether a new topic was created, whether an AI summary was triggered) to understand feature usage and improve the product — this does not include the actual content of your notes.
Third-Party Services
- Baidu Qianfan / ERNIE (百度智能云 千帆 / 文心一言): used for AI auto-classification, summaries, and Q&A.
- Volcengine (Doubao) Speech Recognition: used to convert your voice into text.
- DCloud uni统计 (analytics): used for basic in-app usage analytics.
These providers handle the data they receive under their own privacy policies. We don't use your note content for any purpose unrelated to these features, and we don't sell it to third parties.
About the "Tracking" Permission Prompt
The app may include a system-level tracking-permission prompt, which comes from a base component of the development framework we use. PiggyNotebook itself does not use your data for cross-app / cross-website ad tracking, and does not share data with data brokers.
Deleting Your Data
You can delete any topic and its records at any time — long-press it, or delete it from the topic detail screen. Once deleted, the data is removed from your device and cannot be recovered. Uninstalling the app also clears all note data stored on your device.
