Interview Reviewer: Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026

Interview Reviewer ("the app") records your job interviews and gives you AI feedback on your answers. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes, and your choices. The app has no user accounts, and the developer does not run servers that store your recordings or transcripts.

What the app sends, and to whom

Nothing is recorded or sent until you agree on the in-app consent screen, which names the services below.

DataSent toWhy
Your interview recording (audio) Volcengine (ByteDance), a speech recognition service in China To convert the recording into a transcript
The transcript of your interview Baidu AI Cloud Qianfan, an AI text service in China To generate the question-by-question review
Anonymous usage events (for example "recording started", "review opened", recording length, and your answer to "How many interviews do you expect in the next 2 weeks?") PostHog, a product analytics service (United States) To understand whether the app is useful and fix problems

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Volcengine and Baidu process your recording and transcript under their own terms and privacy policies. Usage events never contain your audio, transcript, or review, and are tied only to a random ID created by the app, not to your name, email, or Apple's advertising identifier.

What stays on your device

Your recordings, transcripts, and reviews are stored on your iPhone, inside the app. Deleting the app deletes them.

What the app does not do

Recording other people

An interview recording includes the interviewer's voice. You are responsible for getting the interviewer's permission before recording, as required by the laws where you and they are located.

Your choices

Children

The app is intended for job seekers and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects where your data goes, the app will ask for your consent again.
